What shall I say of you, 2011?
Except that I am ending you with a close circle of friends that I am proud and glad to call my family of choice and that I might not have thought possible in the past. That more than anything tips the scale in favour of calling it a good year. :) Now to see where I go in the new one, with such good company at my metaphorical side … and with the loans from my postgrad work to pay off. :P...

Chapter Two is Up!
Because I clearly intended to spend New Year’s Eve finishing the writing on it (once upon a time it was part of chapter one and altogether it was shorter. le sigh. lol), getting an opinion on where to end it, and then assuming I’d proofed enough as I worked and posting it. :P Oh well. Tomorrow is the Rose Parade and the start of the new season of Sherlock. :D

Ironiclly, my laptop’s name is also Alejandro.

My laptop is Toshiko. My iPhone is Ianto.
I think having Torchwood-named tech only further proves how quality glass-parade is. And my laptop is Mr. Smith, after, yes, Sarah Jane Smith’s computer on Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane...

Tumblr has the best ideas.
I can’t wait for the party.
thanks to you, I bought gummi bears tonight at the store just for this purpose.
my kids are completely horrified and are begging me not to :D
They are so darned good though! Your kids are just clearly, utterly confused. :P Pomegranate vodka totally kicks plain vodka’s ass though. And now I wish I...

It would have been a raucous sausage fest of inappropriate dick jokes. Tsk tsk.
My kids (8 yr old boy and 3 yr old girl) are looking at me going, “Mom, what’s so funny? Can we see??”
Oh my lmao. And I am of no use at all. Stuck in the High Middle Ages as far as fiction writing goes. Everything is by implication and sub-text and reading between the lines so...

Okay, now that my frothing rage has calmed down somewhat and I’ve garnered even more freckles by taking a walk, I’ll do my best to recap at least part of my analysis/as I watched write-up of Season Two, Episode One of Glee.
I loved the opening with Jacob Ben Israel giving one of his classic/classically annoying man on the street interviews with the varying members of Glee club. It brings the...

"You're all coffee and no omelet."
Fabulous Coach Bieste quote and a great way to start off my first post of my rewatch of season two. Spontaneous decision during my lunch break and a good one at that, though I had to wait to type until I was not in the midst of bell pepper pieces, spicy hummus, and fresh french bread. :P
ETA: for … Nooooooooooooo. Never let me format unless I’m totally awake. I went to add a read...

"They frolicked into a stupor"
A friend’s improvement on what happens to characters when their writer is too darn tired to write them properly. LOL Well, tired, and I finished the end of Hunger Games as a way to wind down and relax from my day. And, yes, you may laugh at that sentence/foolish thought. lol For now, though, everyone gets to frolick into a stupor upon mounds of period-inaccurate bedding! :P

Chapter One Up!
Chapter the First, An Echo Through the Hall
It looks so teeny weeny posted up there, but I am aiming for chapbook size overall, so it makes more sense in light of that. Plus, it makes Kurt’s long-ass first day slightly less so, at least for the reader. ;) And gives the author the chance to finish the end of Hunger Games and listen to more retro music before finishing the other half of the...

…you are even more of a mischievous imp than your sister.
I believe I’ll like you, dear. Once you remove the giant stick from your hind end, you and I, we will have fun.
It’s when they begin to talk back at you that people start to look at you weird. ;)
Oh, I’m used to that.
Oh heck. Mine pull me to the side and whisper whole chunks of plot...

Oh my gods, he’s cute like a baby duck! Especially his interpretation of what worsted means. :) And knitter Kurt fits my headcanon so well, including being a fellow Continental knitter, though…
That is adorable too!
And I have had those moments too, which are especially funny...
madamemonday asked: Blaine as a knitter: English/thrower/right-handed knitter, because continental made NO SENSE to him when the ladies at the shop tried to show him on his first attempt. He’s still a bit slow and clumsy, but one of the people down at their LYS has promised to show him the tucking the needle under the arm trick. Starts out a product knitter but quickly falls into the process camp. Who knew...

But it will NOT become a trilogy. STOPPING AT TWO.
You have now officially damned yourself, says the lady who was just going to write a short little AU fic since she had a bit of time over the holidays and is now apparently going to write a tripartite tale. I keep telling myself it’s only going to be chaplet sized overall though, but I fear this may be a delusion....

A Noble Heart - Final Chapter Preview
Chapter the last:
A Cup Full of Rain
As he looked forward with eager anticipation to his arrival home, Blaine tried to convince himself it was merely for cause of having a familiar bed and the loving companionship of his lady once more. It was always a strain to be apart from her, for no matter how boon the companions he had at his side for hunting and for his noble duties, his heart was always...

Chapter the last:
As If In Passing
Did he not realize the danger such glances placed him in? Her household was as safe as it could be for such as them, but caution still only permitted so much and love for their lord and lady would only go so far. Even if they were willing to keep such secrets about their observations, Lane could not brook those charged to her care being put in danger if...

Kurt felt surprisingly alone though he was, he knew, surrounded by more people than he ever had occasion to meet, no less to dwell under the same roof with. It could not have been just a fair few days ago, though the days before that more deserved such a name to call them by, that he was gifted with such glances and lacks of space twixt himself and...
